Beschreibung
Hieronymus from 2014 vintage is made with 46% Merlot, 44% Malbec from Bridge Pa Triangle Vineyard. The remaining 10% of Cabernet Sauvignon from our Gimblett Vineyard. The Merlot and Malbec were co-fermented. The wine was spent 27 months in oak (67% new). It is rich, ripe and unctuous, a balanced wine with underlying power and length. Shows characters of black plum, blackberry and savoury herbs. Cellar recommendation: 2020-2035.

The Icons are not made every year and by their very nature will always be made in small volumes from Elephant Hill’s meticulously tendered estate vineyards. The wines are purposely released after a good amount of time ageing in bottle.
